Par le jeu du calque et du pli, il ouvre un espace trouble entre surface et profondeur, esquissant un paysage revisité, plié, en écho longs paysages traditionnels japonais.
Continuing his exploration of form, Xavier prints elongated-format photographs of printer blotting paper onto tracing paper. Through the interplay of transparency and folds, he creates a blurred space between surface and depth, sketching a reimagined, folded landscape that echoes the traditional Japanese painted landscapes.
